Join the Maryland Bed & Breakfast Association…

Membership puts you in good company.
MBBA members are regularly inspected to insure cleanliness, comfort and warm hospitality for guests. MBBA comment cards provide constant feedback between inspections. While our member properties are diverse in geography, amenities and services, the MBBA logo assures Maryland visitors that their lodging experience will have them looking forward to their next visit.

Membership gives you a voice.
MBBA realizes that as busy innkeepers, we often don’t have the time to keep up with legislative actions that can have a huge impact on our businesses. MBBA’s legislative committee lobbies against and defeats any legislative action that would unfairly target the lodging industry for additional taxes rather than distributing the tax burden across all businesses that benefit from overnight stays. As a single bed & breakfast, your voice may not be heard - As part of an active bed & breakfast association, your interests are protected.

Membership provides exposure.
MBBA members participate in group marketing activities designed to put more heads in member beds. MBBA’s website at www.marylandbb.com gives members a full listing with photograph and links to their own website and e-mail address at no additional charge. Also, the MBBA brochure is distributed to visitors’ centers and tourist attractions throughout the state. MBBA’s marketing goal is two-fold: 1) Promote the benefits of a Maryland vacation to regular B&B visitors from around the country and 2) Promote the benefits of a B&B stay over that of a corporate hotel.

Membership allows you to share and benchmark with your peers.
MBBA members get invited to attend an annual meeting (free of charge) as well as regular quarterly meetings held at other B&B’s.  Ask about our Mentoring program. The MBBA also produces a newsletter that is distributed to the group a few times a year.
